Mining and civil construction contractor MACA has won a $60 million contract with Main Roads Western Australia at Carnarvon.

MACA said that its subsidiary MACA Civil had been awarded the Carnarvon flood mitigation project which comprises the construction of a number of flood levees.

The period of works will be for approximately 12 months, the company said.

MACA Civil general manager Andrew Sarich said the contract was the second won under an alliance delivery model with Main Roads.

“We are delighted to have been awarded further alliance works with MRWA and we look forward to working together again on this important project,” Mr Sarich said in a statement.

“This is the largest project awarded to MACA Civil and we are pleased to be delivering on the strategic objectives developed by MACA.”

At close of trade today, MACA stocks were down 2.2 per cent, trading at $2.17.
