M-co appoints CEO

M-co The Marketplace Company in Australia has appointed Philip Bradley chief executive officer.

Mr Bradley, who will also be the M-co Group’s chief development officer, has worked with M-co since its inception in 1993, when it was established to design and implement the New Zealand wholesale electricity market.

He is a director of the international Association of Power Exchanges, and also of Energy Market Company Pty Ltd, a M-co joint venture company operating in the Singapore electricity market.

M-co operates wholesale electricity markets in New Zealand and Singapore, the New South Wales and ACT retail gas market, and the Green Electricity Market in Australia.

The company is a sponsor of the Energy in Western Australia conference to be held in Perth next week.
