Lumacom appoints Dollisson as new MD

Nedlands-based LED pixel signage company Lumacom Ltd has appointed the founding chief executive of Media Partners International and former advisor to the Prime Minister's Department, John Dollisson, as its managing director.

The Board of Lumacom Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of John Dollisson as the new Managing Director of Lumacom Limited and Vertigo Group Limited.

John has previously held senior roles in the outdoor advertising industry including roles as founding CEO of Media Partners International (MPI) (Asia) which is now part of the JC DeCaux, the world's second largest outdoor advertising company; Managing Director of the Boyer Group Pty Ltd which was acquired by Pacific Investments; Managing Director of International Sports Group Ltd, Australia; General Manager, Business Development and Industry Affairs, Eye Corp Ltd (outdoor advertising subsidiary of Ten Network Limited); and Vice President, Corporate Affairs Philip Morris International (New York, USA).

In addition, John has acted as consultant for the outdoor advertising industry to such groups as Tom Group (HK and China), The Financial Times, Network Outdoor (Australia), Van Wagner Outdoor and KK Modi (a diverse Indian Company with extensive business interests).

John has 35 years experience in government, industry and sports marketing including 20 years in Asia including China. He has established, operated and listed advertising and sports management companies in Hong Kong, China and Australia.

John was appointed to the Board of Lumacom Limited on the 29thMay 2006 as a non-executive director.

John has been appointed for an initial term of 12 months. The first 6 months of John's appointment will be focused on the strategic expansion of Vertigo Group Limited within the Greater China area (Hong Kong, PRC, Taiwan and Macau) and its export business into the USA and other markets including Australia. This initial period will only require John on a limited hour's basis and his starting remuneration package of $120,000 which reflects that. This will be reviewed at the end of the initial 6 months and a performance based options package will be negotiated against defined KPI's at that time. John commences immediately.

John was the President of the Outdoor Advertising Association of Australia until 2003. Previously he was Founding Chairman of the International Advertising Association (IAA) branch in Hong Kong in 1992 and was a director of the IAA Australian and New York Chapter.

John has undergraduate degrees in Economics, Politics and holds an MBA from University of South Australia; he has extensive marketing and business management skills, not to mention political skills.
