Lowrie Constructions purchased by Adelaide's EMAC

Transportable buildings supplier Lowrie Constructions has been bought out by Adelaide-based EMAC Modular.

Perth-based Lowrie, which manufactures transportable switch-rooms and control rooms, went into administration late last year after 20 years in the mining and natural gas sectors.

Its turnover ranged between $20 million and $30 million.

EMAC general manager, operations, Shaun Henry said the company’s business model would be well-suited to the WA market.

“Our goal is to maintain and build the Lowrie brand in WA and introduce a product and service that is unrivalled anywhere in Australia in terms of price and reliability,” he said.

“There is significant growth in the WA market and our business model will see clients offered a higher quality product at a lower price and delivered faster to anywhere in the state.”

EMAC Modular specialises in drilling and mining camps, commercial offices and construction site offices and amenities.

Lowrie’s switch rooms and control rooms will be manufactured in Adelaide following completion of the transaction.
