Miramar Resources has confirmed it will expand its Bangemall project in Western Australia's Gascoyne region.
Following the granting of exploration licence E52/4301, situated close to its neighbouring Mount Vernon project, the company is hoping to discover sulphides including nickel, copper and platinum group elements.
Miramar's Trouble Bore project contains several dolerite sills, along with prospective feeder dykes. However, detailed exploration of nickel, copper and platinum group element has yet to occur.
Throughout 2024, Miramar intends to complete fixed-loop electromagnetic surveys across designated anomalies at Mount Vernon, coupled by reverse-circulation drill testing and modelling.
Additionally, ground checking and sampling of Trouble Bore SkyTEM-based anomalies will take place, along with subsequent tenement applications and acquirement searches.
Miramar executive chair Allan Kelly believes positive discoveries, derived through drilling and/or outcrop, could bode well for the company.
"If we are successful at Mount Vernon, it opens up the entire Bangemall region as a new nickel province, one in which we have built a commanding land position," he said.
