A failure to disclose a conflict of interest in Alinta has cost Bob Kucera his job. It was revealed this week that Mr Kucera stood to profit from Alinta shares held in both his and his wife’s name after he attended a cabinet meeting where an Alinta-led conso-rtium was discussed as a potential bidder for the Dampier to Bunbury gas pipeline. The Gallop Government’s Ministerial Code of Conduct states that ministers must declare all conflicts of interest.
