Former Clough Ltd chairman Ross Kelly has announced his retirement from the company's board after 12 years in office.

Mr Kelly, who was appointed to the Clough board in 1996, served as chairman between December 2002 and September 2003 and as an independent non-executive director between November 1996 until December 2002 and again from September 2003 until now.

During this time he has worked through the transition of the company from the Clough family ownership, and his guidance has helped the company restructure and reposition itself for long term resource and infrastructure opportunities and supported the employment of a world class executive team.

"Ross has been an invaluable member of the board, has chaired the Audit and Remunerations committees and several sub-committees and, through his own experiences and wisdom, has provided significant guidance to the Clough Limited Board and executive team", said Clough chairman Mike Harding.

"On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Ross for his contribution to Clough and wish him and his family well for the future."
