END of financial year time translates into longer and unpaid hours for most Australian employees.
The latest JobWatch survey by recruitment agency Adecco reported that 69 per cent of the 300 Australian employees surveyed worked unpaid overtime in the lead up to June 30. Of that 69 per cent, 31 per cent reported working more than 10 hours of unpaid work a week, working until after 7pm each night. Almost half of the respondents were expected to take calls outside business hours.
