COULD the Oriel Café Brasserie be on the move? Industry insiders believe Oriel has signed a lease with a property development to be built next door, but Oriel general manager Anastasio Mimmo says no lease has been signed, but the restaurant is always looking at new opportunities.

 

Last week Gusto reported that Linda Ross (formerly Mead) had taken over the operation of Subiaco-based Bravo’s Restaurant. A call this week by Linda, referring Gusto to hubby, Adam Ross, clarified the sale of the business. Mr Ross’s company is, in fact, in purchase negotiations with the current owners. Mr Ross said the deal should be finalised in January. He also said N-Dur-ance was his company, even though the holding company Allwise Asset Pty Ltd lists Linda Ross as the sole director. Mr Ross is the approved manager for Bravo’s and Linda is working at the restaurant, he said.

 

Bob and Pam McQueen have sold The Secret Garden cafe in Murray Street Mews. After 12 years of operation the pair intends to spend some much-deserved time on their renovated boat. The new owner is Clarissa White, who takes over this week.
