It may be a long wait for exploration company TNG Ltd which anticipates a judgment for a $2.1 million claim from the Commonwealth government to be delivered mid next year.
In a brief statement today, TNG said the hearing has now been concluded and final written submissions are due to be lodged before Christmas.
"TNG anticipates that the judge will announce his decision in mid 2009, however no firm timetable for the decision has been advised," TNG said.
In June, the company disclosed that it was involved in legal proceedings with the Commonwealth, which claims that in 1998, TNG had entered into unauthorised transactions, including the purchase of shares and option, in Kanowna Lights NL that were meant to be reversed.
