Norma Jeffery has been appointed chief executive officer of the Curriculum Council.
Mrs Jeffery has been acting chief executive officer of the council and of the Department of Education Services since December 2001.
She will continue to be the acting chief executive officer of DES until legislative changes are made following the merger of the departments of Education and Training.
Before joining the Curriculum Council at its inception in 1996-97, Mrs Jeffery held a variety of roles as a manager and consultant in curriculum and assessment areas in the Education Department.
