Celsius Property Group has signed construction contractor Jaxon to build the latest apartment project at Claremont Oval, a $21 million, 40-dwelling luxury development.

Designed by Hillam Architects, construction will start at Celsius’s Lucent Claremont next month.

Celsius won approval to build the project in August last year, and has since been working with prospective buyers on customising individual apartments to suit their needs.

The luxury project has been pitched at the downsizer market.

Jaxon business development manager Travis Harvey said the contractor had worked closely with Celsius and Hillam Architects in recent months to finalise bespoke design elements and address logistical issues at the site.

“It is an exciting project, and part of a new emerging precinct and we are proud to partner with Celsius on this development,” he said.

“We have developed a strong relationship with Celsius and Hillam over the last few months and I feel it will deliver a great building for the residents to enjoy.”

Celsius director Andrew Peirce said Jaxon was the best fit for the project.

“Their work speaks for itself and we feel together with Jaxon, we will deliver a development that many will proudly call home when completed,” he said.

Lucent Claremont is the sixth apartment development to be launched at LandCorp’s Claremont on the Park, with Celsius joining some of the city’s biggest-name developers in rolling out apartments at the urban infill precinct.

Georgiou Living, Mirvac, Blackburne and Iris Residential are also active at Claremont on the Park, while Oryx Properties is developing an aged care facility known as The Queenslea.
