RESIDENTIAL property group Pro Property has released a list of the ‘top 10 most desirable attributes’ that buyers and investors look at when considering purchasing inner-city apartments.

Views and location are considered the two most important factors influencing purchasers, regardless of whether the apartment is in the heart of the city, fringe CBD or in an urban location.

Security is rated third, marginally ahead of spaciousness, internal fit-out and communal facilities.

Pro Property managing director Brett Wilkins said the list of top 10 attributes was part of an analysis undertaken in advising developers on projects, and helped to explain why purchasers were happy to buy off the plan.

“If purchasers can see the location, appreciate the potential views and then work out from the floor plan how much space they will have and what sort of lifestyle and security features are in place, then they have already met their major requirements,” he said.

Top 10 factors: 1 location; 2 views; 3 security; 4 spaciousness; 5 interior; 6 communal facilities; 7 secure car parking and storage; 8 reverse cycle air-conditioning; 9 kitchen and bathroom fit-out; 10 access to technology.
