THE State Government has allocated a further $177,000 in 2002-03 towards its Experience IT project in the Wheatbelt.
Information technology companies have been invited to promote their services in the Wheatbelt to raise awareness of e-commerce in the region.
The two-year project will allow up to 26 companies to sponsor and take part in increasing confidence and knowledge of IT systems and online delivery throughout the Wheatbelt.
The Wheatbelt Development Commission is constructing a $300,000 mobile facility to spearhead the initiative. The mobile facility will visit Wheatbelt towns and telecentres over the two-year period, providing a hands-on opportunity for residents to see the range of new products and services on the market.
A partnership presentation session will be held at 10am on Thursday June 13 at the SGIO Atrium Theatrette, Level 4, 170 St Georges Terrace.
