ICRG wins Roy Hill work

Indigenous contractor Guma ICRG has won a contract for work at Gina Rinehart’s Roy Hill iron ore mine in the Pilbara for an undisclosed amount.

Under the contract, ICRG will carry out construction and installation of four concrete evaporation sumps at Roy Hill Holdings' port facility in Port Hedland, in order to better protect the facility from environmental effects.

The scope of work includes the redirection of conveyor effluent, excavation work to accommodate the sump, installation of formwork and associated concrete pours, and drainage-related earthworks.

“We believe the nature of this contract demonstrates our adaptability and demonstrates the confidence large resources firms have in ICRG when it comes to our track record of project delivery,” ICRG managing director Shane Cable said.

“I look forward to further building Guma ICRG’s relationship with Roy Hill, where we have had previous involvement in projects including the upgrade and sealing of the mine access road.”
