Two of Perth’s hospitality suppliers, Hisco and NFE, have announced a merger today in a move they hope will make them an industry leader.

The new company will be known as HiscoNFE and will locate its head office and a new superstore in the City West precinct of West Perth.

Hisco was established in 1985 and says it dominates the table top and manchester segments in the hospitality industry, while NFE, which opened in 1999, highlights its commercial kitchen project work.

Current Hisco chairman Murray McHenry will become executive chairman of the new venture.

"The merger of Hisco and NFE will enable us to deliver a wider range of products along with the same high quality service that our customers have come to expect, making us the principal hospitality partner of choice,” Mr McHenry said.

HiscoNFE will provide unwavering commitment to the hospitality industry; striving for innovation, success and integrity in everything we do.”

NFE managing director Steve Ellis will become managing director of the new venture and has more than 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry.

HiscoNFE is the joining of two companies which are very similar in size and culture,” Mr Ellis said.

“Our strengths are highly complementary and will enable us to provide a new and broader range of products and services to our customers.”
