Stuart Hicks has been appointed chairman of the East Perth Redevelopment Authority, replacing outgoing chairman Dr Ken Michael, who will become Western Australia’s new Governor. Mr Hicks brings significant planning and government experience to the role and is already well acquainted with several EPRA flagship projects, including the Northbridge Link Project, where he is chairman of the Northbridge Link Committee. Mr Hicks was previously the inaugural chairman and chief executive officer of Transperth, chairman of the Coastal Shipping Commission and director-general of the Department of Transport, among other senior positions.
