Heavyweights create solution

A WA organisation of four heavyweight companies has been formed to establish electronic business solutions.

The e-Centre of Excellence (ecoe) comprises Rothgard International, HarvestRoad, SupplySearch and Corrs Chambers Westgarth.

The theory behind ecoe is that each member company will bring specialist skills including web design, legal advice and business development.

Rothgard business development officer Maurice O’Connell said most Internet-based business processes had not yet leveraged the full potential of the technology.

Mr O’Connell said ecoe had devised a model e-business to act as a standardised template.

He said standards were rapidly emerging for e-business illustrated by the proliferation of OBI (open buying on the Internet) standard certification on web sites.

The company will initially target the Australian market with an emphasis on commercial organisations with an annual revenue in excess of $100 million.
