The WA Government has allocated $1 million from the Regional Investment Fund for a regional headworks scheme, to reduce the costs of connections to water, electricity, telecommunications, gas, drainage and sewerage in regional WA from next year.
Guidelines for the scheme will be developed in consultation with Regional Development Commissions.
Further information is available from the Department of Local Government and Regional Development, on (08) 9217 1465.
In addition to the new dedicated headworks scheme, regional communities can also access headworks assistance from the Regional Development Scheme, administered by each of the nine Regional Development Commissions.
