Gunson Resources has paid tribute to Western Australian mining stalwart Bryan Oliver, who passed way over the Easter break.
Mr Oliver was 60 years old.
Gunson managing director David Harley said Mr Oliver made an immediate impact on the company since joining as a director in April last year.
“He was very well liked and respected and will be sorely missed by us all,” Mr Harley said.
The industry veteran was chief executive of Midwest Corp when it was taken over by Sinosteel in 2008, and also worked at Robe River Mining and Iron Ore Co of Canada.
He was also a director of iron ore junior FerrAus.
His funeral service will be held in Perth on Monday.
