The state government has announced the release of 39 lots earmarked for industrial purposes at Hedland Junction, near Port Hedland.

The land release will include 21 light industrial lots ranging from 2,000 square metres to 5,000sqm and 18 lots designed for transport use and sized between 4,000sqm and three hectares.

A further 19 lots are currently available at the Gap Ridge Industrial Estate near Karratha.

Regional Development and Lands Minister Brendon Grylls said the Hedland Junction project at the Wedgefield Industrial Estate near Port Hedland would attract new businesses and expand existing industry.

"This is an exciting phase for the area and the state government is working closely with the Town of Port Hedland and other agencies to prepare Wedgefield for its role as one of the Pilbara's key industrial estates," Mr Grylls said in a statement.

Offers to purchase the lots close August 3.
