THE state’s gold producing stocks were buoyed when the price of gold broke through the $US450 an ounce mark this week, with estimates that it could reach $US500 by the end of the year.Analysts attributed the higher price to expectations the US Federal Reserve will keep interest rates on hold at its next meeting later this month.Shares in WA gold producers were mostly around three per cent higher on the rejuvenated gold price.
