Boutique Perth insolvency firm GTS Advisory has merged with national player Mackay Goodwin, marking the latter's expansion into the WA market.

GTS Advisory, led by managing director Mathieu Tribut, will be rebranded under the Mackay Goodwin name through the merger announced today.

Mr Tribut will continue to lead the Perth office, building on his 20 years of experience in the insolvency and accounting sector.

A dollar figure for the deal was not disclosed, and all staff members have been retained under the merger of the two businesses.

GTS provides insolvency, turnaround and business restructuring services for small to medium-sized companies in the WA market.

The firm worked on the administration of now shuttered Modco Residential and more recently was appointed to Subiaco brewery Golden West Brewing Co.

Mackay Goodwin focuses on insolvency and restructuring work, but it also recently launched a corporate advisory department.

It marks Mackay’s expansion into the Perth market, alongside its established offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

"Mackay Goodwin has a strong reputation for delivering innovative and effective solutions to businesses navigating complex financial and operational issues,” Mr Tribut said.

“We look forward to this new chapter for the Perth business, backed by a nationally respected brand."

Mackay Goodwin founder and chief executive Domenic Calabretta said they were thrilled to announce the opening of their Perth office.

He said it marked an important milestone in the firm's expansion strategy.

“This new location will allow us to better serve our clients in Western Australia and further solidify our position as a leading business advisory firm in the region,” he said.

"The team has an excellent regional understanding of West Australian businesses and is already highly respected there, which will be a huge asset to Mackay Goodwin."
