GR Engineering has won a $16 million contract with Saracen Mineral Holdings for engineering and construction works at the Carosue Dam gold mine near Laverton.

The contract will see GR perform engineering, procurement and construction works for the mine’s tertiary crushing plant, with design activities to commence immediately.

The works are expected to be completed by the end of December.

“GR Engineering is pleased to have been awarded the EPC contractor for the Carosue Dam tertiary crusher project,” managing director Joe Ricciardo said.

“It is particularly pleasing given that most of our senior personal were previously responsible as JR Engineering for the original design and construction of the very successful Carosue Dam gold processing facility in 2000/2001.

At close of trade today GR shares were up 3.2 per cent, trading at 95 cents.
