GR Engineering locks in $28m contract

GR Engineering Services has won a three-year contract valued at $28 million for work on Inpex’s Ichthys liquefied natural gas onshore and offshore facilities.

The consultancy and engineering services group was awarded the contract through its subsidiary GR Production Services, formerly known as Upstream Production Solutions.

Under the contract, GR Engineering will provide operational and maintenance support services to the Ichthys LNG upstream and downstream facilities at the plant near Darwin.

The scope of work involved providing production and technical roles to Inpex to supplement their business, and to support maintenance shutdown planning and execution.

Work is expected to start on the three-year contract in December, with an option to extend the agreement a further three years.

GR Engineering’s shares were trading slightly higher at 0.46 per cent to $2.19 at market close.
