Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand has signed a new $15 million contract with Western Australian Police for the provision of IT services.

The three-year contract, with options to extend for another two years, is estimated at potentially $15 million. Under the terms of the new agreement, Fujitsu will provide program, project and change management as well as business analysis services to WA Police.

"WA Police are pleased to have Fujitsu as a key supplier of our IT services. Fujitsu once again proved through the rigorous tender process their ability and capacity to deliver against WA Police's demanding requirements," said WA Police assistant superintendent Bill Leonard.

"Importantly, Fujitsu's services provide WA Police with the capability to scale up and down on demand and in alignment with our needs."

Competing alongside a number of other vendors, Fujitsu was short listed following an intensive bidding process against other major ICT providers.

"We are delighted that WA Police continue to recognise the value Fujitsu can deliver through our extensive capacity, capability and experience of working with WA Police over many years," Fujitsu Australia WA state manager Robert Lislois said.
