THE Rising Stars Index is a platform to showcase private enterprises in Western Australia that have sustained high rates of growth over the two financial years ending June 30 2002. Private enterprises entering the survey were asked to provide details of growth in EBIT (profit before interest and tax), turnover and employment.
To qualify for entry, private enterprises needed to have minimum turnover of $4 million in 2002 and minimum turnover growth of 25 per cent. This ensured that participants were substantial enterprises with sustained growth. Based on the quantitative data, Deloitte identified the top 10 private enterprises in WA – the Rising Stars.
