A contractor working at Northern Star Resources’ Paulsens gold mine has died this morning after becoming ‘seriously unwell’.
In a statement today, Northern Star said operations at the gold mine were temporarily halted, with an investigation into the death under way.
“Northern Star directors, management and staff extend their deepest sympathy and condolences to the man’s family, friends and colleagues at this tragic time,” the company said.
“No other workers were involved in the incident.”
