A NEW information kit has been launched outlining options and guidelines for employers wanting to establish family-friendly workplaces.
The sixteen page booklet was developed by the Department of Productivity and Labour Relations.
It is designed to provide employers with information and ideas on creating a work environment that helps employees achieve a balance between their work and family responsibilities.
The booklet provides information on:
• What family-friendly work practices are
• Why family-friendly work practices are good for business
• Key issues for implementing family-friendly work practices
• The numerous family-friendly work practices available
• Guidelines for implementing family-friendly work practices
• Further sources of information on work and family issues.
