PERTH facilitator Roberta Mead is taking part in the New York citizen’s summit, Listening to the City, on July 20.

The summit is expected to attract 5,000 people from New York and the tri-state area to discuss options for the redevelopment of Lower Manhattan and the creation of a permanent memorial to the victims of terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center buildings.

Ms Mead said she expected to be facilitating a table of between 10 and 12 people.

“They think it will be the first time 500 facilitators have worked like this,” she said.

Ms Mead has been working as a facilitator for the past seven years in areas such as team development, strategic planning, problem solving, training and organisational change.

She also teaches it through the University of WA extension program.
