Events - PGA Convention 2003

The Pastoralists and Graziers Association are holding the 2003 PGA Convention, on Thursday February 27, at the Rendezvous Observation City Hotel. The convention will focus on issues such as, the status of the grain industry in Australia, private property rights, the free trade agreement with the United States, and the future directions of agriculture and pastoral leases.

Keynote speakers for the convention include, National Farmers Federation, president, Peter Corish, who will officially open the conference; United States Ambassador to Australia, the Honourable J. Thomas Scheiffer who will talk about the proposed Free Trade Agreement between the United States and Australia; GrainCorp and Grain Growers Association, chairman, Ron Greentree who will discuss his involvement in compiling the Accenture Report and the current status of the Australian grain industry.
