AUSTRALIA’S established house prices decreased by 0.7 between the June and September quarters, to stand 8.2 per cent higher than in September 2003.
In WA, established house prices rose by 3.0 per cent between the June and September quarters, and increased by 11.8 per cent in the year to September 2004.
Price changes during the quarter ranged from a decrease of 2.2 per cent in Hobartto a rise of 3.8 per cent in Darwin.Through the year to September, house price changes ranged between a rise of 1.9 per cent in Melbourne to a rise of 20.5 per cent in Brisbane.
