Engineering Week Lunch

The Association of Consulting Engineers Australia and Engineers Australia (WA) will hold an Engineers Week Lunch on Thursday September 2 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Guest speakers include Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA chief economist and deputy director of policy Nicky Cusworth, Department of Planning and Infrastructure director general Greg Martin and chief executive officer of the Chamber of Minerals and Energy Tim Shanahan.

Ms Cusworth has worked with the Chamber since 1990 and her role involves preparing and developing CCI’s policy positions and providing analysis of the economy and economic issues for educational, media, political and business groups.

Prior to his appointment as director general at DPI Greg Martin was commissioner of Main Roads WA, he has also worked as an executive director at the metropolitan division of the Department of Transport and principal consultant with Main Roads. 

Tim Shanahan has worked with the Chamber of Minerals and Energy since 2001, and was the executive director of the Western Australian Municipal Association from 1989 to 2000.

The lunch seminar will explore the future workload for the construction, minerals and energy industries in WA.
