Empired inks multi-year deal with NRW

IT services group Empired has won a long-term, multi-million contract with engineering and construction contractor NRW Holdings.

Empired announced today it would manage NRW’s core operational infrastructure including servers, networks and a range of process and reporting functions.

The company will also provide a range of specialist project and consulting services to NRW under the contract.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The contract has an initial two year term, plus three further one-year options to extend.

NRW’s chief information officer, Sue Worrall, said it was important for the company to have secure, robust and scalable business systems.

“We undertook a rigorous procurement process that was strongly contested and are pleased with the result,” Ms Worrall said in a statement.

“Empired demonstrated the ability and desire to deliver exceptional service combined with world-class innovation and maturity in managed services systems and processes.”

At close of trade today Empired shares had jumped 11 per cent, to finish at 39 cents, while NRW’s stock gained 3.2 per cent, to trade at $1.92.
