Wangara-based Duratec has locked in new contracts with the Department of Defence to the tune of $25 million since April.

Among the new works are two building refurbishment contracts in the Australian Capital Territory with the Australian Defence Force Academy and Russell Offices, valued at $11 million and $6.5 million respectively.

Duratec will also oversee similar works at the Lavarack Barracks in Queensland for $2.3 million.

Further works include an airside facility refurbishment for RAAF Edinburgh for $1.7 million and audio security works for DST Group Edinburgh.

Work for those contracts is set to start this financial year and finish up by December 2023.

Duratec managing director Phil Harcourt said Duratec had proven experience in delivering asset refurbishment projects of this scale.

“Duratec’s proven experience in the delivery of commercial construction and asset refurbishment projects of this scale is again highlighted by the latest project award by the Department of Defence at ADFA in the ACT,” Mr Harcourt said.

“This project represents an exciting opportunity for Duratec to strengthen its capability, not only on the ACT market but also nationally with the Department of Defence.”

Duratec shares were down 1.54 per cent at 11:48am AEST to trade at 32 cents.
