Doing Business In China

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA will hold Doing Business in China on Friday December 3 at the CCI Function Centre.

The workshop will examine China and it’s potential as the single largest business opportunity in the world.

The event is aimed at helping attendees develop an understanding of China and its business culture as well as encouraging a greater degree of confidence when doing business in China.

Curtin University of Technology area head of entrepreneurship Stephen Choo will present at the workshop.

Mr Choo has extensive teaching experience in Asian management; business communication and international management and will be awarded a Doctorate in international management from the University of Western Australia in December.

At the workshop attendees will gain a greater awareness of major elements of Chinese culture, understand cross-cultural differences, learn how to employ cross-communication skills when dealing with the Chinese, build confidence in dealing with the Chinese, gain a better understanding of Chinese business etiquette and protocol, develop better negotiating skills for doing business with the Chinese, and understand the intricacies of marketing to the Chinese.

Registrations for the event can be made with CCI for $440 for members and $660 for non-members.
