SIGNIFICANT changes to regulations affecting the state’s petroleum sector will be a focus of the Department of Industry and Resources’ annual petroleum open day on Friday September 9 at the Esplanade Hotel in Fremantle.There have been major changes affecting the petroleum industry in the past year, prompting presentations on directions and changes to petroleum legislation, project approvals and related developments, petroleum systems in frontier basins, resources management regulations, land access and commonwealth/state royalty issues.Areas for exploration in the Canning and Officer basins will also be released.
