Director ups stake

Western Areas director Terry Streeter has put more money into the junior nickel company, giving him a total of 26.9 million shares worth $44.56 million.

Since mid August, Mr Streeter has invested a total of nearly $4 million acquiring Western Areas shares.

His latest purchase of 300,000 shares, on October 14, was at a price of $1.65 per share.

Mr Streeter bought 100,000 shares on-market and 100,000 shares off-market from fellow directors Julian Hanna and Tim King. Five days after these transactions, the company announced an $8.2 million institutional placement at $1.53 per share.

Four directors of technology firm ASG Group, including managing director Geoff Lewis, have reaped instant profits from their options scheme.

They sold 1.8 million shares on-market at 42 cents per share and bought back nearly the same number at 24 cents per share.

Executive director Michael Boorne has lifted his stake in broadband internet services company Netcomm.

On October 14, he spent $1.2 million acquiring 4.75 million shares and on October 22,  he spent a further $48,000 acquiring another 200,000 shares.
