Engineering and construction contractor Decmil Group has won a $65 million extension to its wellsite installation services contract at QGC’s Queensland Curtis LNG project in Gladstone.

The extension will shift the scope of work from the project phase to operational phase, with Decmil to provide construction, logistics, material management and other services during the course of the year.

“This extension confirms the strong relationship we have with QGC and further demonstrates our ability to deliver projects to the upstream CSG industry,” chief executive Scott Criddle said.

The extension builds on an $80 million contract Decmil was awarded by QGC in December 2013 to provide installation services at the QCLNG project.

Decmil shares were 7.1 per cent higher at $1.58 per share at 9:30am.
