Cushman & Wakefield to manage Woodside HQ

International real estate services company Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed as facility manager of the new Woodside headquarters in Perth, with former Knight Frank director Bret Madden brought on to lead the on-site team.

The new building, named Mia Yellagonga, recently reached practical completion, with Woodside’s staff transitioning from the current location at Woodside Plaza over the second half of 2018.

Woodside Petroleum appointed Cushman & Wakefield following a two-stage competitive tender process run in the first half of the year.

Cushman’s successful bid was led by client solutions director Benjamin Tracey, while Dylan O’Donnell will be responsible for the ongoing service to Woodside.

Mr Tracey said the company was delighted to have secured the contract.

Cushman also said it had hired Mr Madden, who had previously served at Frank Knight as a senior director for the past decade.

Mr Madden will manage the 60,000 square metre facility with a team of 15 employees.

The Mia Yellagonga complex comprises a range of facilities including the NLA Karlak office tower and Kooya, a separate four-storey office at the south-west corner with 500sqm floor plates.

Other key features include the Cara Auditorium with a capacity of 400, 650 bike spaces, a gymnasium, a pool, outdoor recreation spaces, a commercial kitchen and a cafeteria.
