SHIRE, town and city councillors and staff have a new handbook to guide them in disclosing interests.
Local Government Minister Paul Omodei said the Financial Interests Handbook provided explanations and examples concerning financial, proximity and partiality interests in relation to matters coming before councils or council committees.
The book also deals with the obligation of councillors and relevant staff to provide annual declarations of financial interests and gifts received.
