Ian Corfield has been appointed chief executive of HBOS Australia’s retail division. Mr Corfield was previously executive director, retail and intermediary HBOS Ireland, and will commence in his new position in Perth in April 2007. He will be responsible for managing HBOS Australia’s retail banking division under the BankWest brand, following a secondment by Chris Whitehead to a position with parent company HBOSplc in the UK.
