LISTED engineering company Clough and international project management company AMEC have been awarded an operations and maintenance services contract for ConocoPhillips’ Bayu-Undan development in the Timor Sea.

The joint venture’s service contract will run for three years, with an option for two further years.

Clough managing director David Singleton said the contract was a significant breakthrough in terms of building the company’s oil and gas operations and maintenance business. Clough, in joint venture with its subsidiary Petrosea, was recently awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract for BP’s APN field development in Indonesia.

AMEC and alliance partner Fluor won a similar EPC contract for Woodside’s Enfield oil development.
