A development application has been lodged with the City of Perth for a $38 million, 21-storey apartment project on Stirling Street, next to Telstra’s Perth headquarters.

If approved, the project at 74-78 Stirling Street will comprise 136 apartments and ground floor commercial tenancies.

The site is currently home to two older-style homes that have been converted into offices, which appear not to be fit for use.

The application was put forward by Planning Solutions, while the land is owned by a long list of individuals; Mr A S Forte, Rainville Holdings Pty Ltd, Ms H L Forte, Miss L J Forte, Miss N L Strijk and Miss D A Thomas.

Planning Solutions declined to reveal the identity of the developer.

The site was sold in June in a transaction brokered by Ron Farris Real Estate, which has not responded to enquiries by Business News.
