THE City of Perth has expressed concern over the redevelopment of the old East Perth power station site.
Lord Mayor Dr Peter Nattrass said the council had made very clear to the East Perth Redevelopment Authority that the City of Perth wished to be involved closely in the final master plan.
“While the council wants to see the 8.5-hectare site developed, we have major concerns about the ultimate use of the power station building and the continued presence of a Western Power switchyard,” he said.
