CHEVRON’S Community Spirit Fund will donate more than $200,000 towards Pilbara communities this year.
Funds will go towards a variety of not-for-profit groups, local shires and Aboriginal groups based in areas close to Chevron’s operations in Exmouth, Onslow, Karratha and Dampier.
Funding is to directly benefit the local community.
Applicants are divided into four groups - sport, the environment, families and children, and volunteer organisations, with 49 groups to receive donations of up to $5,000.
This year’s successful applicants included St John Ambulance, Dampier Primary School and Karratha Senior High School.
