CV Check $2.5m share sale

The wife of CV Check founder Steven Carolan has sold a 16.2 per cent stake in the business in an effort to improve liquidity and allow new investors into the company.

Beverley Carolan sold nearly 40 million shares at 6.5 cents each to receive $2.5 million.

“The CVCheck board has been discussing options to improve the free float of the company, and facilitate the entry of new investors to support the company in its next stage of growth,” the company said in a statement to the ASX.

Chief executive Rod Sherwood purchased 5 million shares with the balance being bought by sophisticated and high net worth investors.

Mrs Carolan still holds about 47 million shares in the company.

“Mrs Carolan has reiterated her intention to retain her remaining shareholding and has reaffirmed her confidence in the future growth prospects of CVCheck,” the company said.

Shares in CV finished up 5.7 per cent at 7.4 cents each today.
