CO2 promotes Grant to CEO

Perth-based carbon sequestration business, CO2 Group Ltd, has promoted Andrew Grant to the position of chief executive officer, replacing director Ian Trahar in the role. Mr Grant is managing director of the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, CO2 Australia. CO2 Group announced in a statement that its decision to separate the roles of CEO and executive chairman was based on its future growth profile. Mr Trahar will remain on the company’s board as executive chairman. Phillimore to Curtin Institute Senior public servant Professor John Phillimore has been appointed as executive director of the John Curtin Institute of Public Policy (JCIPP). Mr Phillimore has served as director of intergovernmental relations (policy division) in the Department of Premier and Cabinet since 2005, and was formerly a senior policy advisor to the Minister for Education and Training. He replaces acting executive director, Professor Fiona McKenzie, who will continue at the JCIPP as director of research.
