BELVIDERE Quality Meats had double success at the recent Belmont Small Business Awards, winning both Enterprise of the Year and Quality Management Awards.
The family-owned and operated business has swept up eleven other awards in the past four years including the Gold Medal for its traditional sausage at the 1999 National Meat Association Sausage King Competition.
Belvidere Quality Meats provides retail meat sales, supermarket pre-packed lines, remote area orders, local bulk orders and numerous catering lines.
Owner Warren Hook says the key to the enduring success of the fifteen year old company was its emphasis on consistency of product quality.
“Our many customers in the north of the state value the way we cater to individual requests and deliver promptly,” Mr Hook said.
“If our clients want steaks an inch thick, we cut it and pack it exactly the way it has been requested.
“When we say an order will be at a location in two days’ time, that’s exactly what we mean, not a week down the track.”
