A NEW range of business assistance packages funded by the Northern Territory Government were recently launched by Northern Territory Industries and Business Minister Tim Baldwin.
“Business Growth offers a range of programs to cover many important aspects of running a successful business,” Mr Baldwin said.
“There are specific programs to provide a structured planning process for a business, and broader environmental and cultural industry programs.”
The assistance packages are aimed at established small to medium sized enterprises currently operating well but which have to capacity to expand.
Business Growth also benefits from the resources of other departments and organisations.
“The Cultural Industries program is provided in conjunction with the Department of Arts and Museums,” Mr Baldwin said.
“The Business Growth Plus Quality Management program is jointly promoted by the NT Quality Movement and the Australian Quality Council.
“In addition, the Departments of Industries and Business and the Commonwealth Department of Industry, Science and Resources jointly promote the Technology Transfer program.”
The assistance packages follow the recent opening of the Territory Business Centre in Darwin.
“These centres are essentially a single point of delivery for relevant, appropriate and timely services for industry, the business community and the public,” Mr Baldwin said.
A centre will also be opened in Alice Springs together with similar operations in Katherine and Tennant Creek.
